The story of a family owned business.

Established in 2003 by Alain Asfar, Benzo is a family-owned enterprise run by Alain Asfar, Saly Asfar, and Alex Asfar. In its initial stages, the company’s primary activity was centered around the importation of high-end furniture pieces and accessories from abroad.

The journey of creating a piece of art.​

As years went by, Saly Asfar started taking on a different approach to her role as head designer, starting to create unique designs herself and innovative manufacturing techniques. Little by little, the family create what Benzo is today, with its own factory, design team and unparalleled quality.  

Benzo x Cairo Design Week

2024 & 2025 Edition

Benzo participated in two consecutive editions of Cairo Design Week in 2024 and 2025, presenting evolving collections and collaborations with renown designers.

In 2024, the brand introduced The Wonderland Collection, inspired by 1970s references with a contemporary approach, created in collaboration with MFA Design Studios. Another collection made its appearance, Outside the House, a modern outdoor collection defined by clean lines and premium materials, created in collaboration with KYME Design Studios.

In 2025, Benzo returned with new collections, including Nile Whispers, a fiberglass line inspired by the calm flow of the Nile and Egyptian crafts, and Giants in the Room by MFA, featuring versatile, portable pieces designed for indoor and outdoor use. Outside the House was also revisited and adapted for indoor spaces, creating a new line called, Inside the House.
